Report a claim
Claims and service requests
There is one number for this, not a maze of carrier phone trees or a portal login you have to remember. Call or text 678-903-3936 and Leonard Butts, or whoever is covering the office, will take it from there.
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A text left after hours or on a weekend is read the next business morning.
What to have ready
A claim moves faster when the first call already has the shape of what happened. None of this is required to call, it just saves a second call back.
Policy number
Handy if you have it. Not a problem if you don't, the agency can pull it up from your name and address.
Date, time and location
As specific as you can manage. A cross street or a business name is usually enough.
What happened
A plain description in your own words. Nobody needs it written up like a report.
Other parties and their insurer
For an auto loss involving another driver: their name, contact information and insurance company if you were able to get it at the scene.
Photos, if it's safe to take them
Never at the cost of your safety or anyone else's. If you were able to get photos of the damage or the scene, they help.
Police report number, if one exists
Not every loss involves police. When one does, the report number is useful to have on hand.
From there, the carrier that issued your policy is the one that actually handles the claim, investigates it, and makes the coverage decision. What the agency does is get it filed correctly the first time, stay on the carrier if it goes quiet, and answer the phone when you have a question mid-claim instead of leaving you to read a status page. That is the value of going through an independent agent instead of dialing a call center you've never spoken to before.
This applies the same way whether the loss happened at home in Powder Springs, on the road in Austell, Douglasville, Smyrna or Marietta, or anywhere else in Georgia the policy covers. It also applies to policies written in Alabama and South Carolina, since the agency holds all three licenses and isn't limited to reporting losses inside one state's borders. Commercial claims follow the same path as personal ones, whether it's a fender bender in a company truck, a slip-and-fall claim against a business owners policy, or storm damage to a commercial building. Report it the same way, to the same number.
Other service requests handled directly
Not everything is a claim. These are the day-to-day requests the agency handles itself, for both personal and commercial policies, without you having to call a carrier at all.
- Auto ID card
- A replacement or extra proof-of-insurance card for a vehicle already on file.
- Certificate of insurance
- Proof of coverage for a landlord, lender, contract or job site that requires one.
- Add or remove a driver
- A new driver in the household, or one who no longer needs to be listed.
- Add or remove a vehicle
- A vehicle purchased, sold, totaled, or otherwise coming on or off a policy.
- Change of address
- A move within Georgia, or to Alabama or South Carolina, updated on file.
- Policy change request
- A limit, deductible or coverage adjustment on an existing policy.
- Agent authorization
- Authorizing the agency to speak with a carrier, lender or third party on your behalf.
- Renewal review
- A look at a policy before it renews, personal or commercial, to check it still fits.
A renewal review, personal or commercial, is worth asking for even when nothing has gone wrong. A household with a new driver, a home that's been paid off, or a business that's added a vehicle or a piece of equipment since the last renewal is often carrying limits that no longer match reality. The agency checks that at renewal rather than letting a policy roll over on autopilot year after year with the same numbers it started with.
For any of the above, personal or commercial renewal reviews included, call or text 678-903-3936. There's no separate line for service work and no online form to hunt for, it's the same number as everything else. If you're starting from scratch instead of servicing an existing policy, the quote page lays out what a new quote needs, and full contact details are on the contact page.
