One call, 21 carriers

Leonard Butts Insurance Agency is an independent agency, not a captive office that can only sell one company's paper. The agency is appointed with 21 carriers, including Progressive, GEICO, Travelers, Nationwide, Liberty Mutual, Chubb, The Hartford and Lloyd's. You describe what you need to insure once, and the agency shops it across those carriers instead of you filling in the same information twenty separate times on twenty separate websites.
This page tells you exactly what to have ready so the first conversation is useful instead of a fishing expedition. Nothing here is a price, a savings claim, or a promise that any specific coverage will be issued. A licensed agent reviews your details and calls or emails back with real numbers from real carriers, not a placeholder figure generated before anyone has looked at your risk.
For personal lines
Auto, home, renters, condo, life, motorcycle, boat, RV, collector car, landlord, mobile home, umbrella and SR-22 filings all fall under personal lines. To quote any of them, have this on hand:
- Names and dates of birth for every driver on the policy, not just the primary applicant.
- The vehicles or the property. Year, make and model, or a VIN, for each vehicle. For a home, condo or rental, the property address.
- Your current declarations page, if you already carry a policy. It shows the limits you have today, which is what makes a comparison honest instead of a cheaper policy with thinner coverage underneath it.
For commercial lines
The commercial book here runs wider than most small agencies: general liability, BOP, commercial auto and trucking, workers' compensation, contractors, restaurants, retail, auto body shops, self storage, apartment buildings, churches, jewelers, woodworkers, videographers and special events, among others. To quote a business, have this on hand:
- What the business actually does. The operations, not just the industry label, since that is what underwriting is priced against.
- Payroll or annual revenue, whichever applies to the coverage you're asking about.
- Any vehicles or property involved in the business, from a single work truck to a full commercial building.
Licensed in Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina, which matters if you're moving, keeping a second property, registering a vehicle out of state, or running commercial vehicles across state lines. Coverage is written across the entire state of Georgia from the Powder Springs office, not just Cobb County. Read more about the areas served on the service area page, or see the full carrier list on the carriers page.
Why 21 carriers instead of one. Different carriers are simply built for different risks. A high-value home with jewelry and fine art often prices better with a carrier like Chubb than a standard homeowners market. A small professional practice looking for errors and omissions coverage may fit Hiscox better than a generalist. A contractor who needs bonding alongside general liability may need a market that writes both under one roof. Being independent means the agency isn't stuck offering you whichever product one company happens to sell, it can match the carrier to the actual risk in front of it.
What happens after you submit. Your details go to a licensed agent, not a queue or an automated rating engine. Expect a call or an email back, usually the same business day if it comes in during office hours, to confirm what was submitted and ask anything that's missing before quotes are pulled. If you submit outside office hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, expect a response the next business day.

Some of this is easier to explain out loud than to type. Leonard Butts answers his own phone, and the same number takes texts if a call isn't convenient. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Outside those hours, text or use the form below and expect a response the next business day.

Fill in what you have. If a field doesn't apply yet, leave it out and mention it in the message; nothing here locks in a price or a policy, it just starts the conversation with the right information in hand.
